from publisher:Oct 15, 2009 Our fellow Americans,
It is our pleasure, our honor, our duty as citizens to present to you Duck for president in 2008. Here is a duck who began in a humble pond, who worked his way up to farmer, to governor, and now perhaps the highest office in the land.
Some say if he walks like a duck and talks like a duck, he is a duck.
We say if he walks like a duck and talks like a duck, he will be the next president of the United States of America.
Thank you for your vote.

What does not kill me makes me duckAug 21, 2009 Battle not with ducks, lest ye also become a duck;
And when you gaze into the duck, the duck gazes into you.
Just Ducky!Mar 27, 2009 Excellent book "for adults",especially politically orientated adults. I gave a copy to a retired friend who had previously worked for the State Democratic Senate Committee, at the state capital (Michigan). She loved it.
Duck for PresidentOct 29, 2008 A must have in an Election year. This book is more fun for the adult reading it to the child. Timely too, this is Duck for President 2008.
I'd vote for himSep 25, 2008 Considering the present elections, I felt this was an appropriate book to pick instead of the political madness.
When Duck sees unfairness on the farm, he decides to change things (always with the hope of making things easier for himself). He runs for farmer (this is a democratic barnyard) and this political career shoots off from there.
The story runs on the same joke of ballots, but it's all funny and reminiscent of the Florida incident. But what really makes this a charmer is the nonchalant way everything plays out and the universal acceptance that animals can run for office and still be second-class barn yard animals.
