Kids book with a nice lessonNov 03, 2009
This book is about a hippo who goes on a search to be something else. I use it as a school counselor with my 5th graders to prepare them for middle school. Learn to be happy to be yourself, then others will like you. If you pretend to be something else, then you will attract other fake friends. Love the book.

Great book. Good artwork. Teaches that the grass is not always greener and to accept yourself as you are.

My 4 yr old son LOVES this book, and I do too!! it is very cute and i just love it! I would def. recommend it!

This is a really cute story about a young hippo who decides he doesn't want to be a hippo anymore. He tries to be a rhino, elephant, giraffe, and other creatures but finds out he's best at being a hippo. Illustrations are excellent and colorful and help bring the story to life.
