here is what my first graders have to say about the bookFeb 05, 2010 Yummy, Yummy, a hot dog. I like the part where he sees it's a hot dog. It is a funny book. The Pigeon Finds a Hot Dog by, Mo Willems

The Pigeon found a hot dog. He said, "Yummy, Yummy, Yummy and then the little duck came. He said, "is that a hot dog?" This is a fantastic book by, Mo Willems. You should read this book. It reminds me when my brother dropped a hot dog and he ate it and he was grounded for a month and at home. You will like this book.

Grandma's reviewFeb 01, 2010 My 3 year old granddaughter loves this book. I read it over and over to her during Christmas week. I don't know why she liked this one more than the other Pigeon Books, but she did.
Splendor of a hot dog and bookJan 20, 2010 My two boys and I love Mo Willems' books. They are so much fun to read to my children. They crack up in laughter over the silly remarks and dramatic characters. This book is no exception! It's easy to animate with the Pigeon's frustrated comments and the duckling's pesty inquisitions. My kids love to repeat the dialog between the two characters. This book is a great book to get children who aren't interested in reading (my youngest son) into the fun and endless possibilities books offer.
Great Addition to Pigeon CollectionDec 23, 2009 I just love these books! Pigeon finds a hot dog is my daughter's new favorite book. This book is a quick and funny bedtime read. We also have Don't Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus and Don't let the Pigeon Stay Up Late. My daughter (just turned 3) has learned to recognize certain words because of these books. I will definitely be buying all of the books in the Pigeon series.
A great book, a great seriesDec 23, 2009 What a great book, we are getting the whole series. My son fell in love with one of these at 3 and he still loves them now. They are great for bedtime stories and for beginning readers.
The font is fun and easy to read at the same time.
The binding and paper are strong and durable, they remind me of the heavy pages of the old Dr. Seuss books.
